John Shortle
John Shortle is currently an assistant professor of systems engineering at George Mason University. His research interests include simulation and queueing applications in telecommunications and air transportation. Previously, he worked at US WEST Advanced Technologies. In 2000, he won the Daniel H. Wagner Prize for Excellence in Operations Research Practice. He received a B.S. in mathematics from Harvey Mudd College in 1992 and a Ph.D. and M.S. in operations research at UC Berkeley in 1996.
