Short Biography: Jim is an associate professor in the Department of Computer Science at George Mason University. He is currently director of the Graphics Lab at GMU and visualization department editor of CiSE. He served as guest editor of PRESENCE, CiSE, and IEEE Computational Science & Engineering. His research interests are in graphics, visualization, virtual reality, networking, and simulation. Jim received his PhD in computer science from the University of Central Florida in 1995. He is a member of the IEEE Computer Society.
