Michael Casey is a new Assistant Professor in the Civil, Environmental, Infrastructure Engineering Department in the area of Construction Systems and Project Management. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Maryland at College Park in the area of sensor networks for critical infrastructure surveillance and security, a M.S., also from Maryland, and a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Rutgers University. Dr. Casey has worked as systems engineering consultant for the federal government and as an Environmental Engineer with Camp Dresser and McKee (CDM), Inc. His research interests include project and information management in civil engineering. He teaches courses in construction and project management and conducts research in sensor network control for critical infrastructure protection.
