On June 15, 2005 the proposal for The Volgenau School of Information Technology & Engineering (IT&E) alumni chapter was approved by the George Mason University Alumni Association.
President – presides over all meetings of the chapter. The President shall have general supervisory authority over the affairs of the chapter and perform other such duties as necessary. The President also serves as the chapter representative for the GMU Alumni Association.
President-Elect – assumes duties of the President in his/her absence. The President-Elect is also charged with growing the chapter’s membership.
Treasurer – manages the chapter finances and coordinates fundraising efforts with the IT&E Director of Development.
Secretary – records minutes of chapter meetings. The Secretary is also responsible for all correspondences regarding the chapter.
Events Coordinator(s) – solicits volunteer assistance in planning, organizing, and hosting various alumni chapter activities and special events throughout the year.
Communications Coordinator(s) – helps with the IT&E newsletter and serves as a liaison between the chapter and the GMU Alumni Association.
